            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Lecturer in Cellular Science (Histopathology) -&nbsp;</strong><em>Fixed term until 30th July 2027</em></p><p>Chester Medical School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic academic to join our growing team as a Lecturer in <strong>Cellular Science (Histopathology</strong>). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and professional practice within a dynamic and supportive environment.</p><p><strong>Role and responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver engaging teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a focus on biomedical science - cellular science (histopathology).</li><li>&nbsp;</li><li>Contribute to the development and delivery of innovative curricula, including laboratory-based teaching and assessment.</li><li>Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and dissertations.</li><li>Develop independent and collaborative research, aligned with the division&rsquo;s research strategy.</li><li>Contribute to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) provision and external engagement.</li><li>Provide academic and pastoral support to students, acting as a Personal Academic Tutor where appropriate.</li><li>Undertake module leadership, curriculum development, and quality assurance responsibilities.</li></ul><p>Collaborate with NHS partners, external stakeholders, and professional bodies to enhance research, teaching, and employability outcomes.</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>A good first degree in a relevant subject.</li><li>A Masters qualification in biomedical science, or a related field.</li><li>Membership of a relevant professional body (such as AdvanceHE) or willingness to achieve this within an agreed timescale.</li><li>A PhD in a relevant discipline, or willingness to work towards this within an agreed period.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience and skills</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated expertise to deliver lectures and laboratory teaching in biomedical science (cellular science/ histopathology).</li></ul><ul type="square"><li>Previous experience of teaching in higher education.</li><li>A proven track record of contributing to the development of teaching, learning, or research practice.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of the Human Tissue Act (HTA) and relevant regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Experience of working in an NHS laboratory (essential).</li><li>HCPC registration (desirable).</li><li>Strong organisational, administrative, and IT skills.</li><li>The ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to cross-disciplinary projects.</li><li>Commitment to supporting students both academically and pastorally, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>For more information please contact Dr Michelle Cordingley, Deputy Head of Medical Sciences <a href="mailto:m.cordingley@chester.ac.uk">m.cordingley@chester.ac.uk</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p>

An excellent communicator, you will be comfortable working within a team environment, but able to prioritise your own workload in a changing, fast paced setting. Experience of working with similar complex databases is desirable but not essential.&nbsp;</p><p>Educated to &lsquo;A&rsquo; level standard or an equivalent level qualification is essential.</p>

            <p id="isPasted"><strong>Senior Lecturer in SCPHN Occupational Health Nursing &ndash; 0.4 FTE</strong></p><p>The Division of Public Health, Sport and Wellbeing is seeking to appoint a&nbsp;<strong>Senior Lecturer in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Occupational Health)</strong> to join our team as soon as reasonably possible. This role offers flexible hybrid working, with a balance of on‑campus and home working to suit both the individual and the needs of the position.</p><p>This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative programme delivered via distance learning (online) to Occupational Health nursing students across England and Wales. As part of this forward-thinking course team, you will help shape and support vital professional development at a national level. There will also be opportunities to contribute to other programmes within the division, including the Masters in Public Health<strong>.</strong></p><p>You will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a nurse or midwife and on the SCPHN register, with professional experience in Occupational Health. While teaching experience is desirable, we also welcome applicants seeking to transition from specialist practice into academia. The faculty provides a supportive framework for colleagues who are new to teaching.</p><p>In addition to teaching, the role includes supporting students and practice assessors/supervisors through the practice component of the course, and working with stakeholders to maintain effective communication and strong governance.
