            <p data-pasted="true">We seek to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics to join our dynamic team of academics and help shape the future of our mathematics provision. We are especially keen to hear from applicants with expertise in applied mathematics, mathematical modelling, optimisation, discrete mathematics, computational mathematics or mathematics for real-world applications. Experience of curriculum development, interdisciplinary teaching, research, or working with industry, professional bodies or public-sector partners would be particularly welcome.</p><p>As a Senior Lecturer, you will bring your passion and experience to deliver high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will play a key role in strengthening our mathematics curriculum, supporting students across mathematics-intensive programmes, and ensuring that our provision remains academically rigorous, professionally relevant and aligned with the needs of employers and future graduates. You will also contribute to the broader academic work of the School of Computer and Engineering Sciences, including curriculum development, research, knowledge exchange, outreach and external engagement.</p><p>The ideal candidate will hold a relevant higher degree in Mathematics or a closely related STEM discipline. You will have experience of teaching in higher education and be able to develop engaging, inclusive and innovative learning experiences. Working closely with the Quality Manager, fellow Student Engagement and Support Officers, Academic colleagues and Professional Services teams, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent student experience and supporting continuous improvement across the Faculty.</p><p>You will contribute to the administration of key student engagement processes, including induction activities, student enquiries (both in-person and online), attendance monitoring, Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) engagement, and Student Voice activity. The role also involves supporting student surveys, maintaining accurate records of student engagement and welfare, monitoring key data and dashboards, and assisting with the coordination of meetings and events related to student experience and student voice.</p><p>You will support the MBChB Admin Hub as a central point of contact for students, signposting to appropriate central services such as Student Services and wellbeing support. You will also assist with the preparation of reports, analysis of student data, and the delivery of initiatives and projects designed to enhance student engagement and outcomes.</p><p>You will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty, as well as central teams such as Student Services, Registry and Academic Services, and external stakeholders including the Students&rsquo; Union. You will contribute to ensuring that processes are delivered consistently, policies are adhered to, and opportunities for enhancement are identified and implemented.</p><p>We are looking for someone who is educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), with substantial experience in an administrative role, ideally within higher education or a similar large and complex organisation. You should have experience supporting meetings, managing records and databases, and working in a deadline-driven environment with accuracy and attention to detail. Experience of student engagement activities, attendance monitoring, and working with a diverse student population is essential.</p><p>You will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. A high level of ICT proficiency is required, along with the ability to prioritise competing workloads, and handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
