Academic Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Academic Support Worker to join our Marketing and Professional Development team. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students to achieve their full potential in a higher education environment. This is an hourly paid role which is linked directly to timetabled sessions (approx. 5-10 hours per week which can vary based on the needs of the role).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to an academic colleague within a classroom context.
  • Provide support to students with a range of needs.
  • Assist students in navigating university life, including attending lectures, managing schedules, and accessing resources.
  • Work collaboratively with academic staff and support services to ensure inclusive learning experiences.

About You:

  • Experience working in a support role, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
