The Department of Hospitality and Residential Services is seeking to appoint a full-time Administrative Assistant. You will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Residential Living Office and support the Residential Living Manager and Conference Manager on a wide range of administrative tasks. The Residential Living Office provides assistance for all students in finding suitable accommodation, either in University owned, partnership or in the private sector.
You will be educated to ‘A’ level standard and ideally hold the ECDL or similar qualification (or be willing to achieve it). Relevant experience in an administrative or clerical role is essential, as is experience of working in a customer service and/or hospitality environment. This role requires good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and a desire to be part of a committed and tightly-knit team.
At peak times this is a demanding role which requires a calm, positive attitude. The ability to work under pressure is essential.
You will ensure a high quality of service to all students, staff and stakeholders (e.g. local council, contractors, service providers). You will therefore have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both orally and in writing.
