The Chester Medical School is an exciting new development within the University of Chester, which delivers a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical and biomedical sciences.
We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious academic of high potential who is able to demonstrate an emerging track record in student education, research and academic leadership. You will join us as a lecturer in Biomedical Science with expertise in Genetics/Molecular Biology with the ability to guide and help students develop an understanding of Genetics, molecular biology and Clinical Genetics. The post holder will deliver this teaching to students on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including clinical areas, within the School. You will be encouraged to develop collaborative research with other groups in cognate areas.
The successful appointee is expected to contribute to the School’s teaching administration and to actively promote the discipline. You will hold a PhD in Genetics/Molecular Biology or related subject and have relevant previous teaching and/or training experience.
