Description

The University of Chester is committed to providing a safe and respectful community for staff and students. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced practitioner who will design and implement education and engagement on the prevention of unacceptable behaviours including sexual violence and abuse, drugs and alcohol misuse and hate crime.

The ongoing RESPECT project requires a dedicated, enthusiastic and informed coordinator to ensure we deliver on this ambitious but vital commitment.

We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working closely with others to deliver outstanding services and impactful change, as part of a committed, hard-working and respected team within the University’s Student Services.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring we have clear, robust harassment related policies and procedures in place. You will establish and maintain strong partnership links with external agencies and undertake regular awareness raising and training sessions to members of the University community.

You will bring previous experience of working in a related field such as support of victim-survivors of sexual violence and sexual abuse, domestic abuse, hate crime, drug and alcohol misuse or social work, and of managing successful projects against clear objectives and deadlines. You will also have experience of delivering engaging training, alongside excellent report-writing and communication skills.

You will be educated to degree level as a minimum, and a relevant professional qualification, or equivalent evidence of ongoing professional development in this work area is desirable.

Together we can ensure the University of Chester remains a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and students.

The Universityis committed to operating flexible working practices wherever possible. We value equality and diversity across our workforce and welcome applications from individuals from all backgrounds.
