We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Practitioner Apprentice to join the team at our well-established independent nursery within the university of Chester at our Creative Campus in Kingsway.  

The nursery provision caters to the all-round needs and development of children aged between 3 months to 5 years old, and our flat hierarchical structure enables nursery staff to work collaboratively and innovatively, creating and implementing engaging activities based on the children's current interests and learning development.

As part of your Apprenticeship, you will:

•    Work as part of the nursery team to provide high quality care and education for children aged 9 months to five years, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), children’s interests, practitioner and parents observations, to provide purposeful play experiences.
•    Liaise with parents on a daily basis, in the best interests of their child.
•    Have regard for safeguarding, health and safety at all times; following the nursery policy and procedures and current legislation.
•    Be hard working and committed to helping each child reach their full potential.
•    Be interested in continuous professional development to further own knowledge and development and that of the setting.
•    Use your knowledge and training within the setting to further personal knowledge and understanding.

You will receive in-house training, and will follow a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme and study towards an Early Years Educator Level 3. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College – South & West.
