Description

The Security and Welcome Team will primarily provide a comprehensive security service across the University estate. As well as ensuring a first-class security service, they are expected to provide first aid, fire incident management and PEEP support across our university. In addition, the role holder, working either individually or as part of a team, will often be the first point of contact for students, staff, visitors and external stakeholder and required to signpost and advise individuals as required. The role holder may also be required to support at other University sites, in relation to all aspects of the post. 

 

We are looking for 3 candidates to join the team who will usually work on rotation across pre-set shift patterns, covering the designated opening times.

They will be responsible to provide a security and First Aid service for the whole Campus. The Security team are often the first point of contact routine enquiries and in emergency situations. Flexibility may be required to cover other shifts and events in the calendar.

You will be educated to NVQ Level 1, or equivalent level qualification, and have previous experience of working in a similar role. You will possess good communication and customer service skills, the ability to use your own initiative, be willing to work as part of a team, and have a flexible attitude to work. A full, clean driving licence is essential.

You will work 40 hours per week, working to a pre-arranged shift pattern: -

6.00am – 2.00pm and 2.00pm – 10.00pm
