Description

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the well-established Wellbeing and Mental Health team in Student Services, as a Mental Health Adviser.

Do you have a passion for supporting others with complex mental health needs? Do you want to help support students to develop their self-efficacy? Have you got experience and confidence in making evidence-based decisions whilst working effectively under pressure?

Ideally, you will have some experience delivering group workshops and/or providing psychoeducation. A degree (or equivalent) and a professional qualification in the field of mental health is required as per attached job description/person specification.

You’ll not only be welcomed into a supportive and knowledgeable team, but you’ll also be working closely with other teams within our Student Services Department, with the aim to strengthen the support for our students and improve the student experience. With this in mind, there is opportunity and encouragement to utilise a range of further training and development, which will help grow your expertise to confidently support our students.
