Description

The Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society is seeking to appoint a Student Engagement and Support Assistant. The key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • To support the Student Engagement and Support Senior Officer and colleagues across the Faculty to promote activity which helps to deliver a high-quality student experience and shape continuous improvement.
  • To assist the Student Engagement and Support Officers with the administration of processes and projects to enhance the student experience within the Faculty and wider University.
  • To support activities including induction activity, in-person and online student enquiries, referrals to central support services, PAT processes, attendance monitoring, ‘Student Voice’, student surveys, pastoral support, disability support, student welfare, careers and employability support, monitoring and tracking interaction with specific groups of students, and effective links with Chester Students’ Union.

You will have a good standard of education with at least A Levels or equivalent, and experience of working within an administrative role. You will also have a good understanding of student engagement and student experience initiatives and activities.  This demanding role requires ICT proficiency, good communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
